Elect Mike Roy to the Vermont State House

Let’s create a Vermont where we all thrive.

I'm running to represent Addison-1 because I believe we can create a  Vermont where everyone thrives—a place where people can afford homes, access quality healthcare, find meaningful work, and build a future in communities powered by clean energy and surrounded by the natural beauty we cherish.

About Mike

I've lived in Middlebury since 2008. I have spent my career helping organizations navigate change and align their work with their broader mission. For 17 years at Middlebury College, I served as Chief Information Officer and later Dean of the Library, leading teams that provided essential technology, information, and library services to the college community.

Beyond my professional work, I've been committed to serving the Addison County community. I've served on the boards of Middlebury Regional EMS, the Henry Sheldon Museum, and Homeward Bound. I am currently vice chair of the Climate Economy Action Center of Addison County and chair of the Middlebury Energy Committee.

My wife Lisa Gates and I have made our home in Middlebury and raised our family here. Like many Vermont families, we've seen firsthand the opportunities and challenges of building a life here. I'm running for the Vermont House because I believe Vermont can be a place where everyone thrives. I want to help build that future together.
